Jesse Gerald, Senior Community & Partnership Officer for the Perry Barr Constituency has circulated a letter from PC Woods to the residents of Digbeth and Highgate. There is genuine concern that residents could be the victims of a scam. They ask that you be vigilant and inform your neighbours to be aware in the run up to Christmas.

West Midlands Police ‘Spy’ cameras sold off for £1 each

Controversial spy cameras removed after being secretly put up by counter-terrorism officials in two predominantly Muslim areas of Birmingham are being recycled for Olympics security – for £1 each. West Midlands Police has handed 22 number plate recognition cameras to the Metropolitan Police, nine to Strathclyde and two to Essex to help protect venues during next year’s Olympics.
