Is Your Network Working

Making connections work...
The ‘Is Your Network Working?’ conference was held at the Deaf Cultural Centre in Ladywood, in July 2010. The event was supported by The Chamberlain Forum and other Digbeth Trust / BASIS partners.
It was the first major event hosted by CN4B since it started in 2008, with nearly 30 groups/networks in attendance. The event explored barriers to effective networking and shared evidence of existing good practice.
The conference was also an opportunity for groups to fill in the Network Assessment Framework developed for CN4B by the Chamberlain Forum.
The workshop sessions included…
- The Birmingham Compact Review and City Council VCOs Consultation
- Commissioning and Collaboration
- Effective use of Social Media for community networks
Network Assessment Framework…
The event also presented an opportunity for participants to consider completing the Network Assessment Framework that was developed for CN4B by the Chamberlain Forum.
The framework is intended to help community networks work better for their members; with public agencies; and with each other. It is an approach to: recognising good practice; identifying areas for improvement; and measuring the progress made by community networks.
