Rich-poor access gap remains at top universities

Study

The richest teenagers are seven times more likely to go to a top university than the poorest, according to a new report calling for additional measures to support the students that are ‘most able but least likely’.

Cuts put voluntary sector work at risk, warns charity

Responding to the government’s public sector cutbacks announcements, Play England, part of the national children’s charity NCB, pointed to achievements including thousands of new or improved play areas and its 30 staffed adventure playgrounds as evidence of ‘excellent value for money and real benefit to the economy’.
